A Message to Our Students

Legal education is not simply the transfer of statutes and case law — it is the shaping of judgment. Over more than two decades in the classroom, I have come to believe that the best advocates are trained as much in the moot court and the legal aid camp as they are in the lecture hall. That is the philosophy we bring to Dr. MCS College of Legal Studies.

As Principal, my priority is straightforward: to ensure every student who enrols here, whether in the Three-Year LL.B. or the five-year B.A. LL.B. programme, receives instruction that meets UGC and Bar Council norms in full, delivered by a faculty that is both qualified and genuinely invested in their progress. Our newly established moot court hall and expanding library are tools toward that end, not decorations.

I also recognise the responsibility that comes with serving students from Bangarpet Taluk and the wider Kolar District, many of whom will be the first in their families to enter a profession. We take that responsibility seriously, and we will continue to invest — in our library's legal database subscriptions, in classroom technology, and in faculty development — so that a legal education from this campus stands on equal footing with any in the state.

I look forward to welcoming the incoming batch of 2026-27 and to seeing what they will build with the training we provide.
