To be a centre of legal education in the Kolar region that produces competent, ethical advocates and public servants drawn from first-generation learners in surrounding villages.
To deliver rigorous LL.B. and B.A. LL.B. education under KSLU affiliation, combining classroom instruction with moot court practice and community legal aid, at a cost accessible to first-generation students.
Dr. MCS College of Legal Studies was established by the Sappers Village Uplift Welfare Association (R), a society dedicated to the educational advancement of the SC/ST community in Kolar District. Recognising the shortage of accessible legal education in Bangarpet Taluk, the association acquired a 6.5-acre self-owned campus at Sri Siddhartha Nagar and built a four-floor academic block to house the college.
The college received a fresh affiliation recommendation from KSLU's Local Inquiry Committee following its inspection on 03 May 2026. The recommendation was approved by the Special Board of Studies on 18 May 2026, the Syndicate on 19 May 2026, and confirmed by the Vice-Chancellor on 30 May 2026 — clearing the way for the Three-Year LL.B. and B.A. LL.B. programmes to begin admissions for the 2026-27 academic year.
A note on the association's founding purpose and commitment to legal education access.
