Dr. MCS College of Legal Studies is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University (KSLU), Navanagar, Hubballi, which is itself NAAC 'A' Grade accredited. Both the Three-Year LL.B. and the B.A. LL.B. (5 Years) programmes received a fresh affiliation recommendation following the university's standard inspection and approval process for the 2026-27 academic year.
03 May 2026 — a three-member KSLU committee inspected campus infrastructure, faculty records, and facilities.
18 May 2026 — the Board reviewed the LIC's findings and recommendations.
19 May 2026 — the Syndicate approved fresh affiliation for both programmes.
30 May 2026 — final approval granted, clearing admissions for AY 2026-27.
The Local Inquiry Committee's inspection covered infrastructure adequacy, faculty qualification against UGC and Bar Council of India norms, record-keeping, and the functioning of moot court and seminar facilities. The committee's report found the institution to meet the required standards on each count, forming the basis of the Syndicate's recommendation.
As part of the affiliation conditions, the college has committed to continuous infrastructure investment, including updated legal texts and online legal database subscriptions, computer system upgrades, CCTV installation in classrooms, upgraded moot court furnishings, and dedicated common rooms for students.
